Before Jim Stahl ever even owned a jeep, he was once driving a friend's jeep home from a day of four wheeling. The Jeep had a soft top with plastic
windows. Jim was driving on the freeway in the
rain at about four in the afternoon. He was trying to change lanes. He tried
to see through the plastic windows. As he looked over his shoulder, he could
not see anything in the lane to the right. So, Jim started to move over -
just then he heard a horn honking.
There WAS someone next to him!
Even though Jim had looked several times to try to see if he could change lanes, he could not see through the plastic windows. Driving the Jeep
home, Jim started thinking "How can I hold real glass in canvas with out
using glue, rivets or metal frames?" It took him about thirty seconds to
come up with the solution.
Jim ended up making a prototype and filing for his first patent. He called it The
Unigrip System.
Jim went out and bought a Jeep and a brand new soft top for it.
He took a razor blade and cut out the old plastic windows. Jim then sewed in The Unigrip
Windows. He could now see through the windows in his soft top.
Jim Stahl maintains his patents and is actively marketing The Unigrip System to
industries such as the golf cart & electric car industry, the
construction & agricultural industry, hunting and recreational vehicle
industry, the military, the awning & patio cover industry; and last but not least, the automotive industry.
Your company could be a part of the soft top revolution... your customers could be among the first generation to say no to plastic windows! No one will be seeing cloudy, dried out plastic windows anywhere in ten or fifteen years.
